Alumnus Mailbag

We have received several emails from alumni in the last few weeks. Jim Summers (in the photo above) reports he was selected to Best Lawyers in America in construction litigation in 2014, Mid South Super Lawyer in 2014 and selected as lawyer of the year for  Memphis in construction litigation by Best Lawyers in America for 2015. Summers, a UT Knoxville alumnus, also was elected to the Tennessee Bar Foundation.

Diane Grob Schmidt, an alumna of both UT Knoxville and UT Chattanooga, is president of the American Chemical Society for 2015. Schmidt (pictured at the left) is currently an adjunct professor in chemistry at the University of Cincinnati. The American Chemical Society is the world’s largest scientific society, according to a press release.

Marc Cadotte, who earned his doctorate at UT Knoxville in 2006, is co-author of a new book Invasive Species in a Globalized World: Ecological, Social, and Legal Perspective on Policy. He is the TD Professor of Urban Forest Conservation and Biology at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
