The Frank H. McClung Museum on the UT Knoxville campus presents “Windows to Heaven,” an exhibit of 24 historically significant works from the Museum of Russian Icons collection in Clinton, Massachusetts. The exhibit runs from Sept. 10 through Jan. 2, 2012. The icons, dating from 1590 C.E. to the present, demonstrate how religious structures and organizations are created by civilizations to reflect their own spiritual, social, and political needs.
