New Pharmacy Home

The state’s largest college of pharmacy finally has a new home big enough for it.

The UT Health Science Center College of Pharmacy Memphis campus is now housed in a 183,857-square-foot building on the UT-Baptist Research Park in the Memphis Medical Center, consolidating faculty and staff who were previously housed in six different buildings.

Founded in 1898, the UT College of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school established in the state of Tennessee. With campuses in Memphis and Knoxville, it is ranked 16th out of some 125 pharmacy colleges in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. About 75 percent of UT pharmacy graduates remain in Tennessee to work, making up about 40 percent of all pharmacists in the state.
